Typographic Designer.

After five and a half years training in hot-metal composition working on magazine titles, I moved on to work for various newspapers and design studios.
In my late 20s I started a design and print company in Luton involving designing on the drawing board - an experience that proved invaluable with the running of our existing company.
Design 2 Print (D2P as the company's now known) was set up in 1993 bringing together design experience and practical business expertise and I derive great satisfaction watching our clients' businesses grow and succeed. I'm also a member of the ecademy networking organisation.

Interests:
DIY projects for my four sons and (time permitting) playing tennis & hill-walking.

Typographic Designer.

Born and raised in Harpenden, I left Roundwood School to go to Watford College where, after a three-year typographic design course, I graduated with an HND in Typographic Design. I was offered a role within D2P, where I’ve enjoyed learning all the different aspects of the business. During this time I have gained invaluable experience working on a wide range of design projects for many different companies.

Interests:

Music, films, golf, weekend partying with my mates and I'm a complete nut about football (watching and playing) and follow Liverpool FC very closely.

Graphic Designer.

Having gone through Watford Art College before computers had been invented, my first few years in the corporate world (Marconi Instruments and Crosfield Electronics) were spent getting to grips with the design software of the time. Apple Macs then developed as the pre-press standard.
After spending two years working in the marketing department at Marconi with Bob, we decided to ‘go-it-alone’ and leave the corporate life behind. Hence D2P was formed. I'm also a member of ecademy.

Interests:

Music, skiing, ballooning, animals and playing sax. I currently play in a local soul/funk band (www.funkify.co.uk) as well as jazz in St Albans pubs (Faultline Jazz).

Languages, Translation & Business Development.

In a previous life I set up my own music business with my own studio and label. When some of our biggest selling tracks achieved international success and sales really took off, I experienced at first hand the enormous power and potential of international markets. The breaking down of cultural business barriers was one of the things that really inspired me to become involved in the world of translation.
It's a real buzz for me to see clients doing well as a result of the services that we provide.

Interests:
Music, playing competitive tennis for Harpenden LTC, networking, spending time with my wife and two kids and good food.

Accounts and Research.

After spending several years in the world of corporate accounting, I decided to 'go-it-alone'. Working for myself was like a breath of fresh air, and enabled me to meet some really interesting clients.
I met the chaps at D2P back in 2002 and have been working for them part-time ever since.

Interests:
Walking, skiing, cooking and eating out.
