 Bishop's Stortford Golf Club centenary book
Having been involved in book design and production many times in the past, D2P was commissioned by Bishop's Stortford Golf Club to design and produce a 100-year celebratory history of the club.
Chronacling the story of the club's journey through to its anniversary in 2010, the client wanted to show a pictorial and typographical description of how the club has evolved and developed through its history.
A larger sized format of 280 mm x 230 mm with a hard-backed cover was agreed by all to enhance the overall durability and visual effect. The finished design needed to portray a clean, uncluttered layout to best accommodate the multi-sourced contribution of images and copy. Researchers spent nearly three years accumulating all the copy and archive pictures. This information was then written to deliver a consistent style over the 156 pages.
