 Gearing Up To Govern suite of advisory journals
Then based in Luton town centre, the Local Government Management Board was the centralised resource for England's local authorities. The range of publications the LGMB produced was varied and extensive and included providing a nationwide training framework for newly elected councillors.
For several years through the nineteen-nineties, D2P designed and produced the suite of publications created to help the transition of newly-elected councillors into their new governing role. These publications included 'Gearing Up To Govern', 'Managing the Transition' and the manual listed here, 'Shaping Future Authorities'.
The Local Government Management Board eventually became the Local Government Association and moved from Luton into new offices in London.
